GUIDELINES TO PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS

TIG Institute

For Management and Communication

1. Introduction: TIG Institute is a non-profit organization registered in Uganda offering management and communication training and coaching programs. The objective of TIG Institute is to promote sound management principles and promote positive behavioral changes. The institute undertakes management and social behavioral change communication campaigns and educational programs.

2. Customer Service Training Programs: The programs were developed to give people, especially the youth; soft skills to enable them manage challenges in the customer service field. The programs are tailored for front office staff, fresh university or college graduates, managers, retailers, hospitals and related staff, security personnel at entrances, government and NGO staff.

3. Training Duration: The maximum training duration is ONE YEAR. However participants are free to complete the training programs in less than one year as their learning environment and speed.

4. Study Material: Study materials are available online through TIG Institute Web Portal and are to be accessed by only registered participants. Participants can access the materials through their own desktops, laptops, tablets or smartphone as per their convenience. Periodical coaching and information is sent to participants by registered emails to keep them informed of new developments in customer service field. Practical cases and experiences are shared to assist participants relate with their own work experiences and customer expectations.

5. Assessments: Assessments and certification is optional for participants who are interested.  In June and December, interested participants participate in an online assessment. Additional guidelines on assessments are given to registered and interested participants.

6. Certification: Participants who successfully complete the assessments are issued a Certificate of Proficiency in Customer Service from TIG Institute. Mailing of Certificates is done online but special arrangements can be done by courier.  Certification is renewed annually for those interested. References or confirmation of participation is done on request.

.7. Terms of Participation and Regulations

  • TIG Institute reserves the right to accept or reject an application from an intending participant without giving any reason whatsoever.
  • There are no fees and the minimal voluntary non-refundable registration or subscription payments are contributions or sponsorship to the institute and cannot be treated as fees.
